Oregon Jump$tart Conference

What a great time I had with the teachers attending Financial Beginnings’ first every Jump$tart Teacher Training Alliance conference earlier this week in Portland, Oregon! Financial Beginnings Executive Director, Melody Bell, her entire staff (Anne, Sarah and Basha), and Oregon Jump$tart’s Chair, David Bell (yes, he and Melody are married), did a fantastic job putting the program together and gathering a great bunch of teachers, mostly from high schools.

I was blessed with the interesting topic of credit and greatly appreciated the teachers significant interaction.

There’s something about the energy coming out of a group of motivated learners that gives me great professional and personal satisfaction.

Check out a Jump$tart Coalition in your area and ask them about putting on a similar conference for teachers in your state.

Have a great day!
